Project 365 #31

19″ LCD HiDef TV
Today’s photo is for my wife (and a bit for me).
I bought a LCD TV for the bedroom craft area. This way we can scrapbook and watch a movie at the same time (My Apple TV is literally on the otherside of the wall, so we drilled a small hole for the cable to go through. We can then control it with our iPhones.).
We’re sitting in here now, before bed, watching Burn Notice Season 3.
Project 365 #24
Today I was at an all-day (9am-midnight) scrapbooking fundraiser at the Creative Memories home office for a Volleyball team to raise money to go to and compete for entrance into the Olympics.
Amy, Margie, Mona and myself all went. We had a great time. I had over 500+ photos to sort, then start putting them into pages. I got 16 pages done!
Amy got like 47 pages done I think. Margie got 20(?) and Mona got 4(!)
All in all it was great and we all won prizes. We may attend the one on the 24th of April, depends on our schedule.
The photos pictured are the Mission Stone at the Home office, and my workspace and two of my favorite pages from that day!
Yes, I am still alive.
Sorry, I haven’t posted in awhile. Lots been going on.
- I resigned from my position on the Communications/Marketing Committee. Too much drama to deal with.
- I became a registered Girl Scout (Don’t Ask). Mainly so I could be a Co-Service Unit Cookie Manager with Amy. We manage around 60 troops and their cookie orders.
- I got a second part-time job back at the Print shop I used to work at, AlphaGraphics.
- Still going to school.
- Working on more training at work, to have more responsibilities.
- Amy and I became Creative Memories Consultants. Mainly because they came out with so many new opportunities for folks and their photos! Contact us for more info!
Just lots of stuff. So I have been really busy. I get about 4 hours of sleep a day, sort of. It’s been hectic.
Talk later when I ain’t so tired!
My 15 Minutes of Fame
Okay, so I have my 15 minutes of fame coming up this weekend.
As most of you know, I am volunteering my time on the Board of Directors and as the Communications/Marketing Chairperson for the Community that I live in.
Our lender is hosting a radio program this Sunday from 3–4 pm on KFAI raido wave project and they have chosen to interview me for a 10 minute segment about Manufactured Housing Cooperatives and how it has change dour neighborhood and my personal experience.
I am VERY nervous about being on the radio LIVE! So keep me in your thoughts.
Also, I will be featured in an article (in the ARTS section) of the Wall Street Journal regarding Male Scrapbookers in such a female-dominated arena.
My consultant’s husband was contacted by the reporter and she was looking for an un-vested perspective, so they contacted me. I had two-phone calls and numerous emails back and forth with the reporter and I even shipped off two of my albums to them to do a photo-shoot of! (Yes, I know, I am nervous that they are not in my hands…)
So I am excited about all this and just wanted to share it with you all.
Also, Riley is on the verge of CRAWLING!!!! He walks pretty good if you hold his hands and he LOVES to jump in his jumper! He really, really wants to crawl, but he doesn’t realize he has to move his hands forward too! So he ends up doing a sort of ‘belly-flop’ instead of moving anywhere.
I will post photos soon!
Let’s scrapbook
I have really wanted to scrap book. I have so many photos it is insane. But the thought of buying all those supplies and then trying to find room for it and crap. Just was not appealing.
But, I have a new laptop and I am a graphic designer and have some really nice design programs. So why can’t I make scrapbook pages on the PC?
So I have scanned all my stamps that I have collected and certain stickers I found and stuff and I have been making some scrapbook pages on the computer.
Which, is really nice, considering the majority of my photos are digital. And I found a website that has downloadable scrapbook pages.
So I am all set!
