Basic Rules

  1. As with everything, there has to be some rules.

  2. Karaoke is based on a first come, first serve basis.

  3. Fill out the song slip with your name, the name of the song and the song number, and then hand it to the Host.

  4. These slips are for Karaoke only.

  5. You may give the Host more than one slip.

  6. Please use the same name on each slip.

  7. If you have a common name, please include your last name initial.

  8. Using different names will NOT get you up to sing more than once in a rotation.

  9. A rotation is based on the number of singers, if there are 10 singers, that is one rotation, etc.

  10. Duets are counted as a turn for both singers, on busier nights.

  11. New singers will be mixed in with the existing singers.

  12. Please be patient.

  13. DO NOT keep asking the Host when you are up. You're up when your name is called.

  14. You will not be moved up in the rotation at ANY TIME. This is a fair way to make sure that everyone gets to sing.

  15. If you arrive late, don't expect that you will sing right away. If it is busy, you may not get up to sing.

  16. Please RESPECT all equipment, which includes the Song Books.

  17. The owner of the Karaoke, and NOT the establishment pays for all equipment where the show is being held.

  18. These things are expensive. Treating them well is very much appreciated.

  19. DO NOT swing the microphones. You are not a REAL Rock Star, and you will only be told ONCE. If you swing it again after that, you will NOT be allowed to sing again.

  20. DO NOT scream into the microphone. It shuts down the system and your song will be interrupted. If you have to scream, pull the microphone AWAY from your mouth.

  21. Please do not belch into the microphone. It is RUDE!

  22. Please DO NOT bother the person that is singing. If they wanted you there they would have asked you. If you want to sing, sign yourself up.

  23. Please do not sign up for long songs on busy nights. If you HAVE to do one of the longer songs, do it as one of your first selections. You will not be allowed to sing them after 10PM. This makes it fair for ALL singers.

  24. LAST, BUT NOT LEAST. DO HAVE FUN! WE WANT EVERYONE TO HAVE A GOOD TIME AT KARAOKE.
